The team at Fruition, the best salon in Wilston, could not be prouder of our faithful leader Craig Smith, who has been recognized yet again as one of the best hairdressers in the country. While we are no strangers to winning awards, we are still SO excited at Craig’s recent success at the Australian Hair Fashion Awards (AHFA’s) 2019 Finalist announcement.
Craig has been named Finalist for the category of AHFA Australian Hairdresser of the Year 2019 and will represent the best Brisbane salon on the national stage at the awards in April. This is Craig’s 9th year as a Finalist for Australian Hairdresser if the Year, having previously been named AHFA QLD Hairdresser of the Year 2010.
His entry this year included his stunning photographic collection called “ENIGMA”, in which he was able to put his skills as one of the best artists and stylists in the industry to work. The collection featured an homage to all out glamour with a distinctly darker edge and, we are sure you’ll agree, is visually spectacular:

The AHFA’s are the most influential photographic competition in Australia and for hair, make-up and fashion creatives it remains the one to win. With 100% impartiality and transparency, all creative categories are judged in London by the best names in the UK hairdressing industry, which means that Craig’s hard work was selected by some of the most famous and celebrated hairdressers in the world.
For 2019, the London judging panel was jammed full of hair icons including Sam McKnight, Angelo Seminara, Akin Konizi, Zoe Irwin, Andrew Barton, Errol Douglas, Jamie Stevens, Gary Hooker and many more. The judges feedback was that this was the hardest ever year to judge, meaning he is truly among the best of the very best!
